Abbreviations & their meanings:

AKSC- American King Shepherd Club, the only "parent breed club" of the King Shepherd. The parent breed club holds "specialty events" for members & owners of the King Shepherd. The AKSC Champion Title is the "most important" & one of the most difficult title's that a male or female King Shepherd can earn.

ChPtd.- Champion Pointed, dogs that have earned "points" towards their AKSC Championship Title. To earn an AKSC Champion Title, a dog must earn 15 total points including 3 majors; 2 of those majors "must be earned" at an AKSC Specialty Show. Majors include 3-5 points. 5 points is the highest number a dog can earn in one show. (Example: 5pts. show 1, 3pts show 2, 5 pts. show 3, and 2pts show 4= 15points)

Points- Points are earned when a certain number of dogs are defeated in a particular class. 3-6 month puppy class Does Not Offer Points. Points start when the male or female reaches the 6-9 month class & up.

Classes:

3-6 months: This class is offered for male & female puppies that are 3 months of age but not older than 6 months of age. No points earned for accumilated wins.

6-9 months- This class is offered to male & female puppies that are 6 months of age but not older than 9 months of age. Points earned for accumilated wins towards a Championship Title.

9-12 months- This class is offered for males & females that are 9 months of age but not older than 12 months (1yr.) Points earned for accumilate wins towards a Championship Title.

12-18 months- This class is offered for males & females that are 12 months (1yr) but not older than 18 months (1.5yrs old). Points earned for accumilated wins towards a Championship Title.

Open Class- This class is offered to males & females that are over 18 months (1.5yrs) old. Points earned for accumilated wins towards a Championship Title.

Veteran's Class- This class is offered to males & females that are 7yrs. old and up. (If Championship Title is not already earned, points are earned for accumilated wins towards a Championship Title.

Spay/Neuter Class- Offered usuallyonly at "specialty shows" or year end shows; for males & females that are no longer in tacted.

Best Of Breed (Specials)- This class is for Males & Females that are "already" Champions.
